For those that are unaware Taylor Janssen and family are phenomenal ski racers, winning state titles, and huge supporters of ski racing! Almost 5 years ago Taylor Janssen dove to get a volleyball off his pontoon boat on Lake Sherwood into shallow water and broke his neck at the C5 vertebrae. He was paralyzed and the long term outcome was unknown.
Flash forward to today and Taylor is doing great, exceeding expectations and excelling in spite of his injury. Taylor certainly has the will and drive to embrace his new way of living…going to law school, graduating with high honors from U of M, living on his own, driving a car! Is that not just amazing! Such a fighter and inspiration!
Taylor didn’t ask for a race in his honor, he didn’t ask if we would reach out to the ski racing community for support…we just did it…a fellow racer is in need and our way of showing support and celebration of his life was by doing what we all love…bashing gates and RACING!!!
So please join us this fun, no stress race and help a fellow racer in the process.
